A History of Scotland in verse
I remember being a schoolchild and finding history a subject that never really captured my interest. Later in life as part of my university life I studied Scottish history and a real interest developed. Now much later of I set myself the challenge of writing a history of Scotland in 25 poems. In reality it took me 27. I hope they inspire a greater knowledge of our wonderful country its culture and traditions and how we arrived at this present time.

The Tao Of Mindfulness
This is a follow-up to my first book The Tao Te Ching an interpretive translation. In this book, I look again at the words of Lao Tzu this time giving some guidance on what I think the teaching could be. I have aimed my thoughts to those involved in the creative matters of life. I hope those who read it find if helpful and give those some food for further thought on what for me has been a guiding light these past 40 years since I first came across it.
Tao Te Ching an Interpretive Translation
This book is an interpretive translation of the Tao Te Ching. This translation will be an easier to understand version of the Eastern Philosophy found in this volume. There is no attempt at explanation of the text. I have tried to keep to the original as given to us by Lao Tzu. It is a translation into English and where ever possible making it simpler to read and understand than that of the original text.
Out of the Silence
This book comes from my time as a minister in the Church of Scotland. During those years, I was minister to four churches. I was an industrial, schools prisons , and hospitals. I also went through a very difficult time in my life with my vocal cords and at one time being told I might not speak again.
It was during this time that. I began to gather together my memories thoughts and the insights gained.
The book therefore contains meditations, some of my early poems and some of the illustrations I had used in my preaching and teaching in the various places I was involved.
The title comes for this time of imposed silence. It is a book that can be read from beginning to end or it can be a book that can be dipped into for differing situations.
