Dean Village Edinburgh

In the heart of Edinburgh lies a little hidden gem, Dean Village. It has kept its character throughout the years. Seldom is it busy with visitors because you have to know of its existence. A place of peace and tranquility worthy of a visit.

Abstract of Nature in Blue and Yellow

There are times when nature catches us off guard and surprises us  with colours and mood. This painting is my attempt to capture one such moment.

An Abstract painting

Abstract art has always been on of my real deep interests and passions. I paint not what I see but what I feel in the moment. I make no attempt at explaining or telling what my thoughts were at the time of creativity. Abstract Art either speaks to you or it does not.

A Winters Day Freuchie

A Winters Day in Freuchie. I was out walking and turned around a bend of the road leading out of the village to be met with this snowscape that just called out to be painted.

Lavender Sunset France

France has been a favourite haunt of mine over the years and three plants that epitomise France are Sunflowers, Poppies and Lavender.

A Robin

I was asked by a friend to design a Christmas Card . I designed two and this Robin is one of the two.

Poppies of France

It is a very special moment when we find a field filled with  poppies. Short lived  they live on in the memory and have led to many of paintings I have done over the years and even now keep returning to them.

Between life and Death

This Abstract is another painted to accompany a poem about life and death. Life is full of good and bad things can get us down but we can overcome and see new hope.

Friendship

This abstract was painted to complement a poem of the same name. This abstract was painted to accompany a poem. A friend purchased the file and had it printed onto a canvas
